The Immunity Form
The pandemic of COVID-19 is more formidable in duration than anyone could have imagined. Recently we have been made aware that the United States government may, both consciously and unconsciously, be embracing a tactic of “herd immunity,” which is essentially a Darwinian response to contagion whereupon the fittest survive because they are stricken, but strong enough to recover, thereby developing immunity. If this “tactic” becomes prevailing, it seems the only responsible thing to do with the techne at our disposal is to offer the MogaDao Immunity Form as a weekly practice, guided (online) by Zhenevere Sophia Dao.
The Immunity Form consists of 5 qigong forms, corresponding to the five principal organs of TCM, and strung together gracefully to make a single, seamless form and an energetic and spiritual continuity in the organism. The form seeks to be a somatic representation of an expansive view of immunity, as not simply the building up of a fortress of protection—called “weiqi” in TCM. Rather, each of the forms in MogaDao’s Immunity Form effectively calls forth or summons the aspects of that organ’s function, both in terms of physiology and in terms of Post-Daoist 5 Realms Theory, that is most essential for vitality and harmony. The spiritual concept of what Zhenevere Sophia Dao, in her writings on Post-Daoism, calls “organ transparency” is very much in evidence in this form. Organ Transparency means a root intimacy with the diverse functions of the “body” in all their permutations; in other words, immunity, in a Post-Daoist sense, consists of an existential honesty in terms of the magnitude of being making “health” and “vitality” expressions of brave totality, rather than survival techniques against “invasions.”
Unlike the monthly series of the EXPERIENTIA, the INTERACTIVE, and the MEDITATION classes, which are series focused on a particular MogaDao Ethos, the MogaDao Qigong Immunity Form class is an online drop-in class. Students will need to register each week for the coming Thursday's class, and a link to the next class's registration will be available on this page of the MogaDao website immediately after the conclusion of the former week's class.

honoring the transmission-based tradition of mogadao
A transmission-based tradition means that teachers—and the bodies of teachers, and the body of knowledge that MogaDao teachers represent—are the only source of the teachings of MogaDao. In other words, there is no "media" available with regard to the practices of MogaDao.—there are only the teachers. MogaDao teachers are not permitted to record their online teachings and offer them to students as study tools outside of the live experience of their online teachings (streaming). This means that students, too, are part of this honor code, which establishes the MogaDao tradition as rather unique in the modern age. In some 30 years of teaching, Zhen Dao herself has never made videos of the vast practices of MogaDao; no material outside of the direct interface of her body has ever been available. Going online at this time, under the current circumstances, is a form of flowing with the Dao, of following necessity. However, this means that students taking her online classes—and the online classes of other MogaDao teachers—must participate in that timeworn honor code of non-recording. Zhen Dao, the MogaDao teachers, and the tradition of MogaDao are deeply grateful for your understanding and compliance in this regard.
